The $10 million Powerball jackpot landed in South-East Queensland last night, but the mystery winner may have yet to discover they’re now the state’s newewst multi-millionaire.

There was only one division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1123 on Thursday 23 November 2017, which takes home the entire jackpot of $10,658,989.09.

But as the winning entry was not registered to a Winners Circle card, Golden Casket officials have no way to contact the mystery ticketholder to deliver the dream-come-true news.

The winning ticketholder is urged to contact Golden Casket as soon as possible on 131 868 to begin the prize claim process.

Golden Casket spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eagerly waiting for Queensland’s newest multi-millionaire to check their Powerball entry and make contact to begin the prize claim process.

“If you bought an entry in last night’s Powerball draw in Springwood, there’s more than 10 million reasons why it would pay to check, and double check, your entry,” he said.

“Imagine winning more than $10 million dollars but not knowing it! Discovering you’re now a multi-millionaire is bound to change your plans for the weekend!

“We’re putting the call out to help track down our mystery winner and share the happy news with them.  The winning ticket may have been stashed away for safekeeping in a wallet, the car glovebox or be hiding in plain sight on the fridge door!”

The winning entry was purchased at Chatswood Hills News & Casket Agency, Shop 34, Chatswood Hills Shopping Centre, Magellan Road, Springwood.

Chatswood Hills News & Casket Agency owner Sony Dahiya said he was thrilled his outlet sold last night’s winning Powerball entry.

“This is the fourth time we’ve sold a division one winning entry since 2006 when we started at this outlet.

“But they were all smaller prizes compared to this big Powerball win!

“We hope our winning customer checks their ticket soon and discovers the happy news!”

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1123 on Thursday 24 November 2017 were 39, 17, 36, 35, 27 and 33, while the all-important Powerball was 7.

Last financial year, 18 Powerball division one winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions won more than $273 million.  During this time, the biggest individual division one Powerball prize was won by a syndicate of Queensland Government workers who took home $55 million.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 375 so far this calendar year, including 96 won by Golden Casket customers.
