The search is over for Tuncurry’s missing Powerball winner after they came forward to NSW Lotteries today to claim their incredible $2 million prize from last week’s draw.

But just who had their million dollar Powerball dreams come true with a division one winning ticket purchased in Tuncurry will be a closely guarded secret as the winner has chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate their big win in private.

As the division one winning entry was a PowerHit 20, the winner collected an additional $229,832.55 in divisional prizes bringing their total prize to $2,229,832.55.

The division one winning Powerball entry was purchased at Tuncurry Newsagency, 68 Manning Street in Tuncurry.

Kirstie Yates is from Tuncurry Newsagency and couldn’t contain her excitement at selling another division one winning entry.

“This is our second division one win this year - we sold a $1 million division one winning Wednesday Lotto ticket in February,” Ms Yates said.

“It was crazy last Friday with everyone bringing in their Powerball tickets to check. Every time we put a ticket through the terminal we held our breath wondering if this was it!

“We’re so happy to know that our winner has come forward to claim their $2 million Powerball prize and we wish them all the best for the future as a new multi-millionaire!

”NSW Lotteries encourages players to register their entries to a Players Club card because it not only ensures their prize is secure, but it also means they’ll be contacted with the news of a big win!
