Bacchus Marsh man’s home ownership dream comes true after TattsLotto win
A Bacchus Marsh man is looking forward to saying farewell to rental payments and hello to a home of his own after scoring a division one prize worth more than $623,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Victorian man held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4039, drawn Saturday 4 April 2020 and takes home a division one prize of $613,016.67. As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the thrilled man also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering his total prize to $623,776.92.
Sharing his joy with us this afternoon, the man revealed how he came to choose the winning numbers.
“Thank you very much! We checked our ticket on Saturday night but it’s good to have the news confirmed!” he exclaimed.
“I chose these numbers many years ago. I’ve been playing them for about eighteen years!
“I have two tickets; one is made up of my entire family’s birthdates and then I have this one which is full of numbers chosen at random.
“It just goes to show that you just need the right numbers – it really is the luck of the draw!
“We haven’t done too much to celebrate because it’s hard right now, but I’ve phoned all of my family to tell them the good news!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his life-changing win, the loving family man said he couldn’t wait to buy a new home for his loved ones to enjoy.
“We have always rented,” the winner explained.
“This win will allow us to finally stop renting and get a house of our own. It will be for me and my family!
“It will be a nice feeling not having to pay rent but to own my own home!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning marked System 8 entry at Bacchus Marsh Newsagency, 138 Main Street, Bacchus Marsh.
Bacchus Marsh Newsagency owner Pete Drever said he was incredibly excited to discover his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
“This is the second division one winning entry we’ve sold in less than six months!” he exclaimed.
“We have already put up signs and balloons in store to let our customers know we’ve sold a big one.
“Our customers are always so happy to share in the news of a division one win, it cements in their minds that dreams do come true at our outlet!
“Since owning the outlet we’ve sold 12 division one winning entries!
“We would like to extend our congratulations to our latest winner. The prize could not have come at a better time.
“It will lift the spirits in the township which has been hit hard by the current situation.
“We hope it brings hope to all of our lottery players that they could be just one ticket away from a life-changing win.”
