A Cobram woman has revealed she initially thought her TattsLotto division one win worth over $797,000 was a hoax after she checked her ticket and didn’t believe her eyes.

The thrilled winner held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4063, drawn Saturday 27 June 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $797,002.74.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the happy woman also scored division six, bolstering her total prize to $797,015.69.

Speaking to us this morning, the disbelieving winner explained she was only just beginning to believe she had won.

“I think I know why you are calling,” she admitted when answering her phone.

“I checked my ticket late on Saturday night and screamed for my daughter to come and double-check it for me.

“I thought for sure it had to be a hoax. I just didn’t believe it could be real.

“I wasn’t going to believe it until it had been confirmed.

“I buy a QuickPick ticket every week, but I just never thought I’d win this much!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, the woman confessed it would allow her to fulfil a long-held dream of building a new home.

“I’ve never owned my own home and I’ve worked hard all my life,” she said.

“I have always dreamt of building my own home and giving my kids something.

“It’s hard to believe that that dream will come true now.

“I can’t wait to get started on the build. It’s going to be fun!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 12-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
