A Kingston man has shared he had a “funny feeling” he was going to win the big one in the hours leading up to the Saturday Lotto draw that saw him score a division one prize.

The ACT resident held one of the 27 division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw, draw 4061 on 20 June 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $740,740.75.

In addition to division one, the man’s marked System 9 entry also won division two 12 times, division three 6 times, division four 45 times and division five 20 times, bolstering his total prize to $820,546.05.

Confirming his win with us this morning, the man shared he had an inexplicable hunch that he was going to win.

“I’ve been playing Lotto for a long time, but this weekend was unlike any other and I just had a sense it was going to happen,” he explained.

“I just had a funny feeling this was going to be the one. I can’t explain it but it’s happened.

“I checked my ticket after the draw and… wow, wow, wow!”

The happy winner has been celebrating his good fortune with his family and can’t wait to share it with them.

“This is just the right amount to win,” he said.

“I’ve been playing these numbers for a while – they’re special family numbers. And the prize will be shared with my family in one way or another.

“But for the moment, I’m just still processing it!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his marked System 9 entry at Kingston Newsagency, 66 Giles Street, Kingston.

Kingston Newsagency owner Mark Wang said he was thrilled to have another division one win land in his outlet.

“It’s so exciting! We love it when customers win and we are lucky enough to have sold two division one winning tickets in the past couple of years,” he said.

“We wish our winner all the very best with their prize.”
