A single mum from the Hunter region says she was crying, laughing and screaming the moment she checked her Saturday Lotto ticket and realised she was suddenly a millionaire.

The New South Wales resident held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4137, drawn Saturday 13 March 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,165,537.35.

Confirming her win with us this morning, the surprised woman explained she was still in a state of shock.

“Thank you so very much!” she exclaimed.

 “That is just wonderful.

 “It’s unbelievable. Unbelievable!

“I checked my ticket online after the draw on Saturday night.

“I couldn’t wait to chat to you!

“I was crying, laughing and screaming.

“I just thought it had to be wrong. I kept checking it on the app over and over again.

“The news is finally starting to sink in now I am speaking to you.

“It’s such a strange feeling. I just never thought I would be one of those people who win the lottery!”

When we asked how she planned to enjoy her million-dollar windfall, the generous mum explained it would go a long way in her big family.

“I am a single mum and I have a big family so this is going to help me so much,” she explained.

“I will be able to upgrade our home. It is just so exciting!

“I am over the moon. I’m still trying to process the news.”

The winning entry was purchased at Southside Newsagency, Shop 2, 27-29 Maitland Road, Muswellbrook.

Southside Newsagency manager Satvir Singh Cheema said he was so excited for their latest division one winner.

“It was only about six months ago that we also sold a division one winning entry and now we've done it again!” he exclaimed.

“It’s been such a joy sharing this news with our customers.

“This is the fourth division one winning entry we’ve sold in four years.

“Congratulations to our latest winner! It sounds like she will really enjoy her prize.”
