Two Shepparton locals have had a weekend they’ll never forget, with each scoring a division one prize in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.

The two residents held two of the 27 division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw, draw 4061 on 20 June 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $740,740.75.

A family from Mooroopna held one of the TattsLotto division one winning tickets, while the other winner has chosen to remain completely anonymous.

Confirming their win with us this morning, the Mooroopna mum couldn’t contain her delight at her family’s good fortune.

“Oh my god! It’s unbelievable. I’m shaking,” she said.

“I’ve played these numbers for many, many years. Far out!

“I was watching the footy on Saturday night, and it wasn’t a good game. I was so upset I went to bed without checking my ticket.

“Then my husband checked the numbers on the phone and said, ‘I think they’re our numbers!’.

It’s made the footy results easier to swallow!”

With the family’s bank balance about to balloon by almost three-quarters of a million dollars, the woman shared the win was a great relief.

“With everything going on, it’s been pretty worrying. This certainly helps take the worry away a bit,” she shared.

“I don’t suppose we can travel anywhere at the moment, but when we can, we’d love to travel around Australia.”

Both of Shepparton’s TattsLotto division one winning entries were purchased at Lovell’s Shepparton Newsagency, 246 Wyndham Street, Shepparton.

Lovell’s Shepparton Newsagency owner Louise Brown said the wins delivered some positive news to the city.

“Shepparton is a lucky place and wins like this are great for the town. A lot of people are doing it tough, so it’s nice to have good news to talk about,” she said.

“We’ve actually done this before. I was just looking up our records and for the TattsLotto Megadraw in 2013 we sold two division one winning entries at our other outlet, and one at this outlet. So we’re very excited to do it again!

“We wish our latest winners all the very best with their prize!”
