A hard-working young Adelaide man is still absorbing the news he’s $1.4 million richer after initially thinking he only had five of the six winning numbers from Saturday X Lotto’s $21 Million Superdraw.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought his division one winning System 10 entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official online lotteries.

“I initially thought I only had five numbers. I was a bit upset to be honest, thinking ‘so close, yet so far’,” the winner explained.

“It was my dad who pointed out I actually had all six. Thank god dad can count!

“I couldn’t believe it. I went nuts!

“My brain couldn’t process it. I was actually feeling a bit woozy when I walked in to claim my prize.”

The Adelaide winner plans to treat himself to a luxury 4WD and then use his windfall to buy his first house and set himself up for the future.

“Normally I’m the one making rash decisions, but I’m not going to waste it.

“I’ll get myself into the property market and make it last. I’m not going to blow it.”

In addition to the $1.4 million division one prize, the winner will be taking home $30,969.00 in other divisional prizes, bringing the total prize value to $1,430,969.00.

The six winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 3749 on Saturday 24 June 2017 were 29, 43, 5, 13, 32 and 1. The supplementary numbers were 40 and 38.

Across Australia there were 15 division one winning entries in Saturday’s $21 Million Superdraw, with each taking home a division one prize of $1.4 million. The winning entries included one from South Australia, five from New South Wales, two from Queensland, two from Victoria, two from the Northern Territory and three from Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 404 so far this financial year, including 32 won by SA Lotteries customers.
