A Caloundra woman is looking forward to experiencing what it feels like to own her very own home after winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Sunshine Coast resident held one of the six division one winning entries across the country in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4077 on Saturday 15 August 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $847,199.23.

Sharing her excitement with us this morning, the woman explained she’d had a sleepless night.

“Thank you very much!” she eventually managed.

“I am so grateful!

“I checked my ticket last night. I started circling the winning numbers on my entry one by one.

“Of course, I didn’t believe it to begin with! I had to scan the ticket over and over on the app to make sure.

“I couldn’t sleep after that. I was wide awake!

“I’ve been playing Saturday Gold Lotto for a very long time, always marking my entries with my favourite numbers.

“I can’t believe that they’ve finally appeared!”

When asked what she’d dreamt of doing should she one day win the lottery, the Sunshine Coast player said she’d always had one thing in mind.

“This has come at such a good time in my life,” she explained.

“I want to buy myself a house, it will give me an incredible peace of mind.

“I can’t imagine what it will be like to own my very own home. I’m certainly looking forward to it.”

The life-changing 18-game marked entry was sold at Caloundra Newsagency, Shop 1,72 Bullcock Street, Caloundra.

Caloundra Newsagency owner Carrie Macfarlane said it was the third division one winning entry the outlet had sold in 2020.

“We’re absolutely thrilled,” she said.

“We sold a $60 million winning Powerball entry in February, an almost $2 million winning ticket two months later and now this!

“We can’t believe the winning streak we’ve been on and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings for our customers.

“Congratulations to our latest winner, we wish them all the best and have no doubt there’s exciting times ahead for them!”
