Campbelltown workmates win division one on fourth ticket they’ve ever bought!
A Campbelltown private work syndicate is celebrating today after discovering they won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, on the fourth ticket they have ever bought.
The private syndicate held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4001, drawn Saturday 23 November 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $577,792.94.
Speaking with us this morning, the private syndicate leader recalled the moment she discovered their win.
“It’s crazy stations,” she cried.
“Why am I at work today? I shouldn’t be at work!
“It’s so strange!
“I went to the newsagency yesterday and that’s when they told me I won.
“I nearly had a heart attack! I screamed so much when I got to the car.
“This is a private work syndicate. We’ve only been playing for a few weeks!
“How could we have won division one? Things like this don’t happen to people like us.
“We are all battlers so this really will help us all so much.
“I just want to run up and down the streets and scream so much!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her share of the prize, the happy winner said she would take her family on a holiday.
“My daughter said we should go on a holiday overseas,” she said.
“I don’t like planes, but for this occasion, I think I will!
“We will go on a long holiday to Europe.
“We can celebrate the win overseas.”
The winning entry was purchased at Narellan Newsagency Kiosk, K204 Narellan Town Centre, 326 Camden Valley Way, Narellan.
Narellan Newsagency Kiosk owner Mr David Thomsen said he was thrilled to have sold a division one winning entry.
“It’s such a lovely surprise,” he said.
“We are only a relatively new outlet, so it’s great to have sold another major prize.
“We can’t wait to sell another to one of our customers. It’s always so great for us and for them.
“Congratulations to our winner, we wish you all the best and hope you enjoy your prize.”
