A Campsie dad has found himself suddenly daydreaming about the prospect of an early retirement after scoring a multi-million-dollar prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The Sydney resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4015 on Saturday 11 January 2020. Each division one winning entry takes home a prize of $2,169,262.50.

Confirming the life-changing news with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the man revealed he’d already checked his ticket but didn’t believe he’d scored division one.

“Is it true?” he began to question.

“Thank you. That’s so great.

“What incredible news for the new year! I cannot believe it.

“I went to the newsagency this morning and they told me that I had won a major prize.

“But I didn’t believe them. I said I wouldn’t believe it until I received a phone call from NSW Lotteries.

“And now I have but I still can’t believe it.

“It’s so exciting!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, Sydney’s newest multi-millionaire had plenty of ideas.

“I’ll be able to pay off the mortgage,” he shared.

“And maybe I’ll even stop working! I hadn’t thought about retirement but this probably means that I can start making plans.

“We will also be able to share it with our children!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at B2K Newsagency, Shop 20, 18-24 Amy Street, Campsie.

B2K Newsagency owner Bryden Nguyen said the outlet was on a winning streak.

“It was only a couple of months ago when we sold a division one winning entry in the November Superdraw, so to sell another one so soon is incredibly exciting!” he exclaimed.

“We’re absolutely so happy for our winner and it’s such great news to hear this massive prize has gone to one of our local customers.

“Congratulations to him! We hope he really enjoys his prize.”
