A Mount Barker woman admits she felt sick with happiness after winning $461,555.44 in the weekend’s X Lotto draw.
The happy winner held one of the three division one winning entries in South Australia, and one of nine division one winning entries nationally, in X Lotto draw 3843, drawn Saturday 19 May.
Speaking with a SA Lotteries official this morning to confirm her win, the thrilled woman revealed how she discovered the life changing news.
“I actually got an email saying I had won a high prize, so I checked my numbers and saw I had won,” she exclaimed.

“It’s so life changing, seeing the amount there made me feel sick!

“I play every Saturday but I’ve never won anything before! I’ll definitely keep playing!”
The woman also revealed she knew exactly how she will spend her X Lotto windfall.
“We’ve got a mortgage so we’ll be able to pay that off. Once it’s paid it will mean we can live comfortably which is great.
“It’s awesome!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 18-game QuickPick entry from Mount Barker Central Newsagency, Shop 17, Mount Barker Central, McLaren Street, Mount Barker.
Mount Barker Central Newsagency Rob Staples said the outlet was celebrating selling its third division one winning entry so far this year.
“I always said we were going for three and then when I heard we had I said ‘I told you so!’,” he laughed.
“It’s great news!
“I’ve been in the business of eight years and we had nothing for eight years and then we’ve had three division one wins in five months!
“I’m wrapped it’s one of our local customers and they’ll use it to set themselves up for the future.”
