“I couldn’t ask for anything better!”: Doncaster retiree relives his heart-stopping TattsLotto revelation
With more than $1 million coming his way, a Doncaster man is looking forward to sharing his good fortune with everyone who has helped him over the years.
The overwhelmed winner held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4147 on Saturday 17 April 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,145,653.60.
Sharing his excitement with us this morning, the Victorian relived the heart-stopping moment he checked his TattsLotto ticket.
“Thank you!” he laughed.
“This is surreal. It’s fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.
“I couldn’t ask for anything better!
“I checked my ticket on Sunday morning. I received a message on my phone that I’d had a win, I thought maybe it would be $13 or something.
“I went through the numbers on my ticket one by one and I got to the fifth number and couldn’t look at the last.
“I turned the ticket over for a few minutes until I finally had the courage to check if I had the sixth number.
“And I did!
“I couldn’t believe it!
“I’d gone to bed on Saturday night a millionaire without even knowing it.”
When asked how he imagined his life as a millionaire, the Melbourne retiree said it was a welcome relief after a tough few years.
“There are a few people who have helped me out over the years who I really want to help out,” he said.
“I need to sit down and revaluate everything and sort a few things out.
“I really want to share my good luck with everyone.
“This is a life changer!”
The life-changing 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased at East Doncaster Lotto, 286A Blackburn Road, Doncaster East.
