An Eastwood mum has become the envy of all parents, after today discovering she no longer has to worry about saving for school fees, thanks to a $1.5 million win in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The winner held a division one winning entry in Saturday Lotto draw 4113, drawn Saturday 19 December 2020. Each division one winner takes home a prize worth $1,536,073.95.

Sharing her excitement with us this morning, the elated woman explained the winning news came as a shock.

“I was very excited, of course! There were lots of tears,” she explained.

“It’s such a great win right before Christmas. I couldn’t believe our luck when I saw we’d won!

“It’s awesome. I just am so overwhelmed.

“Thank you, The Lott!

“We are going to go out for a nice dinner to celebrate when the money is in our account.

“We are just so thankful for this win. It truly is amazing!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her million-dollar win, the overjoyed winner thought of her children first.

“We will definitely be keeping most of it for the children,” she said.

“It will come in very handy with their education expenses.

“We will also pay off the mortgage too.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Eastwood Newsagency, 173 Rowe Street, Eastwood.

Eastwood Newsagency manager Simon Wu said he couldn’t be happier for his division one winner.

“I was so ecstatic that we’d sold another division one winning ticket,” he said.

“I almost didn’t believe it!

“We are so happy for anyone that wins, no matter what the size of the prize is.

“We will be decorating the shop with extra balloons, posters and Christmas decorations so all of our customers can share in the joy with our winner.

“We have sold three division one entries over the last 10 years. The last one was a Powerball entry in 2015.

“We hope the next one will come very soon!

“I’d like to congratulate the winner and wish them the very best. This year has been a hard one, so I hope the winnings bring them joy over Christmas and the coming years.”
