Eight Melburnians are celebrating a great Saturday after their group syndicate entry in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw scored them a division one prize worth over $930,000.

The syndicate entry, nicknamed ‘Great Saturday’ was one of four division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3957, drawn Saturday 22 June 2019.

Each entry won a division one prize of $931,789.71.

In addition to winning the coveted division one prize, the group syndicate’s marked System 8 entry also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering their total prize to $945,283.11.

Each member of the syndicate receives a share worth $118,160.39.

Shares in the group syndicate, set up by Broadmeadows Lucky Lotto, were sold in three outlets across Melbourne.

  • Broadmeadows Lucky Lotto, Shop K16, Broadmeadows Town Centre, 1099-1169 Pasco Vale Road, Broadmeadows (5 shares)
  • Moonee Ponds Central Newsagency, Shop T16, Moonee Ponds Central, Homer Street, Moonee Ponds (2 shares)
  • Postmart Plus Convenience Store, Shop 4, Alfred Hospital, 55 Commercial Road, Melbourne (1 share)

Broadmeadows Lucky Lotto owner Hassan Chandrakirana said he was thrilled his outlet had sold another division one winning syndicate.

“We are very happy for our customers!” he exclaimed.

“A lot of the players are regulars to the store and they have all been very surprised, shocked and happy that they’ve won division one.

“We’ve been running this syndicate for about six months now and we’ve had the same numbers every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto.

“This is the eighth division one winning entry we’ve sold over the last six years and six of those have been syndicate entries. That’s the best way to play!

“This syndicate has been a lucky one for our customers. They’ve never won division one before but they’ve always had smaller wins here and there.

“We wish them all the best with their wins!”
