Members of a Gold Coast family are happily contemplating how they will each use their share of the Saturday Gold Lotto division one prize they scored on the weekend.

The six-member private family syndicate held one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3895, drawn on Saturday 17 November 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $456,752.50.

“Oh God! Oh my God! I think that’s wonderful,” the syndicate leader exclaimed when we delivered the winning news this morning.

“I wasn’t going to answer the phone, but gee I’m glad I did!” she laughed.

“This is beautiful. Just beautiful.

“It’ll probably take a while for it to sink in. I still can’t quite believe it.

“There’s six of us altogether in this syndicate. It’s just a family tradition I started a few years ago and we’ve just kept it going ever since.

“I can’t wait to tell everyone the good news!”

While she had checked the syndicate’s winning entry yesterday morning, the syndicate leader confessed she had missed the game showing all six winning numbers in a row.

“I’ve got this ticket in my hot little hand now and I will be holding on tight to it,” she laughed.

With each member of the family syndicate set to receive a share worth more than $75,000 each, the ecstatic syndicate leader predicted there would be many exciting plans ahead.

“For me, I might go travelling around Australia,” she said.

“Thanks to this, we won’t have to worry about the price of fuel that’s for sure!”

The syndicate purchased its winning 12-game QuickPick entry at Slacks Newsagency & Casket, Shop 1, 152 Scarborough Street, Southport.

Slacks Newsagency & Casket owner Scott Garson said this was the first time his outlet had sold a division one winning entry in its eight-year history.

“We’ve finally done it!” he laughed.

“It’s been a long time coming so I’m pretty happy it’s finally here.

“We’ve ready to sell another one now and make it two in a row.”
