“I’ll be out of there!”: Forest Lake woman to retire immediately thanks to Saturday Gold Lotto win
A Forest Lake woman is planning to hand in her resignation by the end of the week after scoring division one in the weekend’s Gold Lotto draw.
The Brisbane player held one of the nine division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4123, drawn Saturday 23 January 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $678,308.17.
Confirming her win with us this morning, the ecstatic woman explained she’d been patiently waiting for this day to arrive.
“Thank you,” she laughed.
“I’ve been playing Saturday Gold Lotto for around 40 years now and I have been playing these numbers for the last decade or so.
“I can’t believe they’ve finally been drawn!
“I always check my ticket on a Sunday morning. I was just so overwhelmed but I did know it would happen one day and that day has finally come.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her division one fortune, the regular player knew exactly what she’d be doing.
“I can finally retire!” she explained.
“I’ll be handing my resignation in very soon – I’ll be out of there!
“It’s amazing, just amazing. A great weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
“It feels good!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Nextra Forest Lake News, Shop 23-24 Forest Lake Village Shopping, Forest Lake Boulevard, Forest Lake.
Nextra Forest Lake News employee Emma Jesberg said she hoped this was the beginning of a winning streak for the outlet’s customers.
“We’re all so excited for our winner and it’s great to know it’s gone to a local,” she said.
“It’s been a long time coming. It’s been a little while between division one wins.
“Congratulations to her! We hope she really enjoys it.”
