Gold Coast couple’s ‘marvellous’ $1 million Saturday Gold Lotto win!
A Gold Coast couple are excited to do ‘anything they want’ after discovering they became millionaires after winning division one in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.
The Queensland couple held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3967 on Saturday 27 July 2019, with each entry taking home a division one prize of $1 million.
Speaking with us this afternoon, the pair admitted they had no idea they’d started the week millionaires.
“Can you repeat that? One million dollars? Oh my god,” the winning woman screamed.
“I’m very well actually! I didn’t think I’d be discovering I’m a millionaire today.
“It’s very exciting but I need to get used to the news.
“It is marvellous. “It is a shock! My husband thinks it’s great.
He says we can do anything we want now!”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their prize, the ecstatic couple said they’d need some time to think but admitted they did have a few ideas.
“I want to do some renovations on our house or maybe we will just get a new house,” the Gold Coast woman laughed.
“We would like to go on a holiday overseas too.
“We might celebrate by having some champagne and going out for a fancy dinner.”
The thrilled couple, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry at Lucky Dragon Newsagency, Shop G112 Australia Fair, 40-42 Marine Parade, Southport.
Lucky Dragon Newsagency owner Annalia Liu said she was thrilled to discover her outlet sold another division one winning entry.
“We are so excited to have sold another division one winning entry!” she said.
“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was in November last year.
“This outlet has sold four division one winning entries in five years.
The most recent two winning entries were sold within the last eight months.
Selling a division one winning entry once is sweet, but four times is amazing.
“We like to say Lucky Dragon, lucky place!
“Congratulations to our winners! We wish them all the best for the future.”
