A Howrah woman admits when she checked her TattsLotto ticket and realised she’d won $621,000, she screamed so loudly other customers in the newsagency thought something was wrong.

There were 10 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4201, drawn Saturday 23 October 2021— three of these landed in Tasmania. Each division one winning entry took home $621,262.72.

Speaking with an official from The Lott, the Tasmanian relayed how the excitement unfolded.

“I had absolutely no idea until I went to a newsagency to buy a ticket for this week’s TattsLotto draw and to check a few of my old ones,” she explained.

“I was gobsmacked when they said I’d won division one! I just couldn’t wrap my head around it.

“As soon as I got out of the newsagency, I scanned the ticket on The Lott app to make sure it was real.

“I screamed immediately after that. I just kept saying, ‘Oh my god! Oh my god! I’ve won!’. So many people turned around to look at me. I think people thought something was wrong.

“I called my family straight away, and they were so genuinely happy for me. We are planning a really nice dinner to celebrate all together.

“I’ve been pretty quiet about it, though. It still hasn’t sunk in, so it’s hard to believe it’s true!

“I am so happy, though. This is life-changing for me!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, the elated woman declared it would be put to good use.

“The first thing I will do is pay off the mortgage,” she shared.

“I wouldn’t mind doing some renovations as well, and it would be a very good idea to invest some.

“I’d like to get myself an electric car one day too!”

The winning entry was purchased at newsXpress Shoreline, Shop 3 Shoreline Shopping Centre6 Shoreline Drive, Howrah.

The newsXpress Shoreline team said they were delighted their winner had come forward to claim her prize.
