He’s always dreamt about what he would do if he won TattsLotto, but a Kyabram man admits he doesn’t know where to start now he can now make those dreams a reality with his prize of almost $1 million.

The Victorian held one of the six division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 4151, drawn Saturday 1 May 2021. He scores a division one prize of $974,297.53.

The retired man was oblivious to his good fortune until we made contact.

“I never usually answer my phone at all,” he admitted.

“But I’m glad I picked up this call.

“Oh my god! Oh my god! Thank you very much.

“Every single week, my family and I talk about winning.

“We’ve had a few little wins here and there, and we always say what we’re going to do when we win TattsLotto.

“But now we’ve won, who knows what we’ll do!

“You may have a plan, but you never think it’s going to come true. We’re going to have to take some time to really think about it.”

The stunned Kyabram resident shared he and his wife looked forward to overhauling their retirement plans and helping their family with the prize.

The winning 18-game QuickPick was purchased at Ky Lucky Lotto, 167 Allan Street, Kyabram.

Ky Lucky Lotto owner Miles Gould said he and his team were celebrating the good news.

“We’re just so happy for our winner. We are decorating the shop and will be telling everybody that will listen,” he said.

“The town will be elated with this news!

“We’ve had this business for nearly eight years and sold over 30 division two winning tickets, but this is our first big one. This is what we have been waiting for, and it is such a good feeling to know that we have helped someone achieve their dream.”
