A merry band of 12 Henley Beach shoppers will be sporting winning smiles this week after their long-running syndicate entry scored division one in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw.

The store syndicate, called “Saturday No. 5”, held one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 3895, drawn on Saturday 17 November 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $456,752.50.

In addition to winning division one, the Adelaide syndicate’s System 10 QuickPick entry also won division three 24 times and division four 90 times, bolstering the syndicate’s total prize to $483,234.10.

Each member of the syndicate receives a share worth $40,269.51.

The winning store syndicate entry, a System 10 QuickPick, was set up by South Henley Newsagency, 47 Henley Beach Road, Henley Beach South.

South Henley Newsagency owner Tracy Cole said her outlet had been running the “Saturday No. 5” syndicate for more than a decade.

“Many of the syndicate members go into this each week. In fact, we only discovered it had won when one of our customers called us yesterday with the winning news,” she said.

“Some of the syndicate winners have already popped in and are celebrating their news. It’s a great little community down here so I’m sure word will spread fast.

“It’s not the first time we’ve sold a division one winning syndicate. In 2014, we sold one that win $1.25 million!”

Some syndicate members held unregistered tickets and may have yet to discover their winning news.

What a great way to start your working week – discovering you’ve pocketed tens of thousands of dollars!

While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entry to their EasiPlay  cards, there are a few syndicate members who have unregistered tickets and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.
