An inner-city Sydney man says the news of a division one lottery win has brightened up his week in lockdown.

The New South Wales player held one of the eight division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4171, drawn Saturday 10 July 2021. Each entry won a division one prize of $756,133.42.

Confirming his win with us this morning, the man explained he’d checked his ticket over the weekend.

“It was quite a shock, actually!” he laughed.

“I was at home yesterday, just sitting around when I decided to check my ticket.

“I went completely blank. Of course, I didn’t believe it at first but now the news is starting to sink in.

“It’s wonderful, especially during lockdown. It really brightens things up!”

With his division one lottery fortune about to hit his bank account, the Sydney resident said he’d no longer have to stress about money.

“It will give me extra security, so I just don’t have to worry about the little things,” he explained.

“I will continue to keep working because I really enjoy work, but I will be a lot more comfortable.

“I won’t have to worry about the little things!”

The life-changing 6-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Kent Street Pharmacy, Shop 2, 189 Kent Street, Sydney.

Kent Street Pharmacy owner Kam Wan said it was great news to hear during the city’s lockdown.

“This is the first division one winning entry we’ve sold,” she said.

“It is such lovely news for us and our customers during such a tough time for Sydney.

“Congratulations to him. We hope he really enjoys his prize.”
