A Wallan man has revealed he’s still shaking more than 24 hours after discovering the life-changing news he’d won almost $2 million in Saturday’s TattsLotto.

The Victorian resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3909, drawn Saturday 5 January 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $1,963,514.85.

Sharing his excitement with us this morning, the man shared how he discovered he’d become a millionaire.

“I realised I’d won on Saturday night, not long after the draw,” he explained.

“I looked at the results on my phone and went through the numbers one by one and I thought, ‘it can’t be, it couldn’t possibly be.’

“I said to my partner, ‘you’re not going to believe this, I’ve just won TattsLotto.’

“She didn’t believe me.

“And I still don’t think I believe it myself yet.

“I’m still shaking!”

The man revealed he’s been playing TattsLotto for as long as he can remember.

“I’ve been playing TattsLotto since it was the little yellow tickets,” he laughed.

“Years ago I won a division three prize, but nothing ever like this!”

“What a way to start the year.

“This has just come at just the right time!”

The elated winner revealed he had spent the past 24 hours thinking about how he would use his windfall.

“I’m going to invest a bit in some land and homes,” he shared.

“A holiday to celebrate is also on the cards.

“I’d love to go to England and track down my heritage and ancestors.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 36-game entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
