A Melbourne woman has had a work trip she’ll never forget, picking up a division one winning Saturday Lotto entry of more than $1.9 million during her lunch break.

The regular lotto player held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4005, drawn Saturday 7 December 2019. Both entries took home a division one prize of $1,962,497.08.

Sharing her excitement with us this morning, the winner relived the moment she discovered her prize.

“Thank you,” she cried with happiness.

“That’s almost two-million-dollars!

“I checked my ticket on Saturday night after the draw. I couldn’t believe it!

“I was completely flabbergasted.

“I think it’s only starting to sink in now.

“It’s really exciting. It’s such a lovely amount.

“I have been playing for a long time and incredibly I always mark my numbers but this time I didn’t, I just got a QuickPick and that’s what I won on!

“It’s funny that you always hope to win and now I have but it’s such a shock!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy the life-changing prize, the woman said she’d need to sit down and make a plan.

“I’m not sure if I will keep working, I will really have to think about it,” she said.

“My husband and I will definitely do some travelling.

“There’s plenty of places on our list that we need to tick off!”

The winner was working in Sydney when she purchased her winning entry at Paperstream, Shop 11, Henry Deane Plaza, 2 Lee Street, Sydney.

Paperstream owner Mark Lowrey said he was overjoyed with happiness for his customer.

“What incredible news!” he exclaimed.

“I was so happy when I learnt we sold this division one winning ticket.

“We sold a Saturday Lotto winning ticket around four years ago, so we are just so glad to have sold another one.

“Congratulations to our winner! We hope this has really changed their life.”
