It wasn’t just chocolate that brought smiles to the faces of 10 Melton locals on the weekend, with their syndicate scoring a sweet division one prize in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The 10-member store syndicate held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4143 on Saturday 3 April 2021. Each division one winning entry won $965,635.64.

In addition to scoring division one, the group’s entry also won division three 6 times, division five 3 times and division six 13 times, bolstering their total win to $971,698.29. Each member of the winning group pockets a prize worth $97,169.83.

While some syndicate members are registered and can be notified of their win, others may have yet to check their tickets and discover their winning news.

Shares in the winning syndicate were purchased at Melton Lotto & TSG, 293 High Street, Melton.

Melton Lotto & TSG owner Phong Thai said he was “over the moon” his outlet had sold another division one winning entry – the second so far this year.

“I can say that my store is definitely one of the luckiest stores as this winning streak means we’ve sold a total of 44 division one winning entries over the years. I must be Mr Lucky!” he declared.

“This is our weekly Saturday syndicate, and to win over the weekend means it will have been the happiest Easter ever for our customers.

“I can’t really comprehend the happiness my customers must be feeling – it’s a life-changing win.”
