A Mornington Peninsula man has started the new week with the life-changing news he was one of the weekend’s TattsLotto division one winners.

The Melbourne resident held one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 4225, drawn Saturday 15 January 2022, and pocketed $1,184,956.64.

The retiree was going about his usual morning and was oblivious to his newfound wealth until we called to break the news.

“I had absolutely no idea! This is amazing,” he exclaimed.

“I’ve been dreaming all my life of winning division one, and now it’s happened!

“Initially, I didn’t think you were actually calling from The Lott. I wasn’t sure if it was real, so while I was on hold, I went to check the numbers.

“I saw the first five numbers come up, and I started to become excited. Then, I saw the sixth number! Wow!

“I’ve told one person so far this morning, but I’m going to keep it on the down-low.

“Thank you! Thank you!”

When asked how he planned to spend his million-dollar prize, the winning Victorian was too shocked to make any immediate plans.

“I’m honestly not too sure at this stage. I’ll have to make a decision once the money has come into the bank account. I might put it towards the house.” he said.

“For now, I’ll just let it all sink in!”

His life-changing 24-game QuickPick was purchased at Balnarring Village News & Lotto, Shop 12, 3050 Frankston Flinders Road, Balnarring.

Balnarring Village News & Lotto team are excited to have sold a division one winning entry and hope the winner enjoys their prize for many years to come.
