An Elizabeth man in his 30s has spent the weekend shopping for a new car and a new house after discovering he is now $603,000 richer from winning division one in Saturday’s X Lotto draw.
The thrilled man’s entry was one of the seven division one winning entries nationally and the only division one winning entry from South Australia. Each entry took home a division one prize of $603,397.66.
As well as winning division one, the Elizabeth man also won division five, bolstering his total prize to $603,419.11.
When an SA Lotteries official made contact with him the morning, the thrilled winner revealed he was already out car shopping.
“Well I am actually just at a car yard!” the winner laughed.
“I have a very good idea why you are calling.
“I checked my ticket on the app on the weekend and I saw that I had won!
“I was checking each line and I won something on one line and it wasn’t until I got to the last line I saw that I had six numbers.

“I was very excited to see that I was a winner! We’ve well and truly already planned how to spend it.

“I’ll be putting my win towards a new car and I’ve also picked out a house as well!
“We’ve spent the weekend looking around and decided where we want to buy.”
The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 18-game QuickPick entry online at - Australia’s official lotteries.
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday X Lotto and Saturday XLotto have created 119 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 3871 on Saturday 25 August 2018 were 29, 18, 5, 31, 35 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 36.
Across Australia there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 3871 – two each from Victoria and Western Australia, and one each from Queensland, Tasmania and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 267 so far this calendar year, including 27 won by SA Lotteries customers.
Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning Saturday X Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
