A Pittsworth woman says she’s always believed good things come to those who wait and her weekend division one win is proof of just that.

The Toowoomba region resident held one of the ten division one winning entries across the country in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4089 on Saturday 26 September 2020.

Each entry won a division one prize of $511,318.20.

Confirming her win with us this morning, the winner explained she was only just starting to calm down.

“I’ve been waiting for this call,” she laughed.

“Thank you very much!

“I’ve been playing those numbers since Saturday Gold Lotto first started.

“I’ve been waiting for this day, and it’s finally here. They say good things come to those who wait and that’s certainly the case for me!

“I checked my ticket on Sunday morning. I looked at the numbers in the newspaper and rechecked them about four times!

“I couldn’t believe it. I had to go down to the newsagency to make sure.

“When the girl at the newsagency checked the ticket for me and confirmed the news I just couldn’t stop laughing!

“It was amazing. I’m only starting to settle down a little bit now!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her division one fortune, the overjoyed woman said it would take the pressure off in a big way.

“It will make life a whole lot easier for us, that’s for sure,” she said.

“We don’t have to worry about little things. We can just enjoy ourselves without the stress of money.

“It’s fantastic!” The winning 12-game marked entry was purchased at Pittsworth Newsagency, 57 Yandilla Street, Pittsworth.

Pittsworth Newsagency manager Debbie Markey said it was the fourth division one winning entry the outlet had sold in five years.

“We couldn’t be happier for our latest winner,” she said.

“It’s great news for our community and us.

“One of our customers also won a division two prize last week, so we feel as though we’re on a winning streak.

“Congratulations to our latest winner!”
