Mystery of Port Lincoln X Lotto winner solved: prize claimed one week after the draw
Nearly one week after the draw the mystery of Port Lincoln’s newest multi-millionaire has been solved when the winner came forward to claim their prize.
However, the identity of the winner and how they plan to spend their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate their new multi-millionaire lifestyle in private.
The registered entry, purchased at newsXpress Beer’s Port Lincoln, 46-47 Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln, was the only division one winning entry in Australia in Saturday X Lotto draw 3829 on 31 March 2018. The entry won the entire division one pool of $4,248,309.28.
As well as the entire division one prize pool, the 14-game marked entry also won division three and division four, bolstering their total prize to $4,252,211.73.
newsXpress Beer’s Port Lincoln team member, Rose, said she was thrilled the store had sold a division one winning entry.
“It’s a bit overwhelming to be honest! But exciting too!” she exclaimed.
“We sold another division one prize a few years ago but this one is the biggest one we’ve sold and the first for some time.
“We’ve had lots of customers coming in to ask if we have found the winner so I’m happy to be able to tell them we have.
“Congratulations to our winner – we wish them all the best with their prize!”
The six winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 3829 on Saturday 31 March 2018 were 15, 44, 27, 8, 23 and 43, while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 35.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 329 so far this financial year, including 30 won by SA Lotteries customers.
