A Preston man is happily hunting for a new home after finally believing his TattsLotto division one win on the weekend is real.

The ecstatic winner in his 50s held one of the 10 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4201, drawn Saturday 23 October 2021. Each division one winning entry landed $621,262.72.

In addition to winning division one, his marked System 9 entry also scored division two 6 times, division three 12 times, division four 45 times and division five 20 times, bolstering his total prize to $681,292.97.

So far this year, there have been 29 division one wins in Melbourne’s northern suburbs collectively worth more than $29.48 million

“Woohoo!” the winner exclaimed when we confirmed his prize.

“I’ve got this habit on a Sunday morning when I wake up to log in and see if I’ve won anything. I saw it said ‘win’, but then I thought, ‘no, that’s not right. That’s crazy!’.

“I think I’ve logged in 50 times or more – just to see if it’s real. I keep thinking I’ll log in, and this time it will have disappeared. It’s funny how your brain plays games on you. You just keep thinking, ‘it can’t happen to you’.

“But it has! And I’m very happy.

“I usually play my special numbers, which revolve around dates, birthdates and ages. I started playing these about two years ago.

“This will be a great help and I’ll be buying a house.”

The thrilled man’s winning marked System 9 entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
