Twenty years of consistency has paid off for a Meadowbrook mum, with her randomly-chosen numbers winning her division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Logan player held one of the nine division one winning entries across the country in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4081 on Saturday 29 August 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $555,248.73.

This afternoon we spoke to the woman, who had no idea she’d won division one.

“Wow! That’s so amazing!” she laughed.

“I am in total disbelief.

“I had a little bit of an inkling that I’d won something big when you called, but I wasn’t expecting this!

“Wow! Just wow!

“Are you sure this is correct?

“That’s truly amazing. Thank you for the wonderful news. I really appreciate it.

“I’ve been playing those particular numbers for about 20 years. They’re numbers I chose a long time ago! I think they were just random numbers, I can’t even remember!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her Saturday Gold Lotto fortune, the winner said she’d need time to think about it.

“Well, it’s a little early to decide,” she shared.

“I’ll put some aside for the future. It will definitely help my little family get ahead.

“Maybe I’ll invest some in property, but I’ll definitely be sharing with the family.

“It’s a wonderful surprise and such a wonderful opportunity!”

Her winning marked 12-game entry was purchased at IGA Meadowbrook, Shop 9, Yeates Crescent, Meadowbrook.

IGA Meadowbrook owner and manager Amrinder Singh said he couldn’t believe his outlet had sold another division one winning entry.

“It was just a couple of months ago that we sold a $17 million winning Powerball entry!” he exclaimed.

“We’ve had a huge year of wins with three division one winning entries sold here just during 2020.

“Our customers have been calling us the luckiest store in Queensland and they are going to be amazed to know we’ve sold another big one!

“Congratulations to our latest winner! We hope this win helps her achieve all her goals in life.”
