Retired Tamworth nurse “shell-shocked” after news of division one win
A retired Tamworth nurse says she’s “shell-shocked” after picking up her phone to hear the news she won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The regional New South Wales resident held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 3999, drawn Saturday 16 November 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $659,502.54.
The woman revealed she wasn’t expecting the life-changing phone call from us his morning and had been none the wiser of her fortune.
“Would you please say that again?” she asked.
“Are you sure? There’s no mistake is there?
“Thank you so much.
“I think I might fall off this seat.
“I’m a little bit stunned. I’m beyond stunned. I’m shell-shocked!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the shocked woman said it would take some time before she could think straight but she had a few ideas.
“This is just magical,” she said.
“My husband is also going to be stunned when I tell him this news.
“We will be able to help our children and grandchildren.
“I’m blown away!”
The winning entry was purchased at West Tamworth Newsagency, 126-128 Bridge Street, West Tamworth.
West Tamworth Newsagency manager Sharon Maloney said it was fantastic news for the local community.
“I really hope this incredible prize has gone to someone who really needs it in this drought,” she said.
“We’ve been waiting for a Saturday Lotto division one win for years so we are so happy.
