Rowville retiree still trying to catch up on sleep after million-dollar TattsLotto news
A sleepy Rowville retiree says he felt like he was stuck in a dream when he checked his TattsLotto entry late on Saturday night to discover he was suddenly a millionaire.
The Victorian player held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4125, drawn Saturday 30 January 2021. Each division one winning entry takes home a prize worth $1,473,168.76.
Confirming his life-changing win with us this morning, the man said he was still trying to catch up on sleep after the exciting news.
“Thank you. I can’t believe it!” he laughed.
“I saw it late on Saturday night.
“At first, I thought I was seeing things!
“I just didn’t think it could be true. Even my partner thought I was joking.
“I only got about four hours sleep after that, and it was like I was stuck in some sort of dream.
“But now you’ve confirmed the news with me I can get excited! It’s absolutely amazing.”
When asked how his prize might change his life, the overwhelmed retiree said a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
“It’s a massive relief,” he said.
“This changes everything for me. It means I can really enjoy my retirement and help some people who are struggling.
“It’s a very nice feeling knowing I’ll be able to do that.”
