A sleepy Sunbury woman has explained how a social media post spurred her to check her TattsLotto ticket late last night and discover she was the mystery division one winner officials had been searching for.

The Victorian player held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4125, drawn Saturday 30 January 2021. Each division one winning entry takes home a prize worth $1,473,168.76.

Sharing her excitement with us this morning, the woman explained she’d been awake all night.

“Oh my god!” she exclaimed.

“Thank you. Thank you so much!

“Last night I saw on Facebook that someone from our local newsagent had won division one.

“So I checked my ticket and I’d won $13 so I didn’t think it could be me but then I checked my second ticket and there was almost $1.5 million on it!

“I couldn’t believe it! My head was spinning. It was such a strange feeling but it was amazing.

“Then of course I couldn’t go to sleep! I was up all night wondering if it was true.

“It’s still soo surreal!”

When asked what she planned to do with almost $1.5 million, the loving mum said it would take the pressure off in a big way.

“I’ll keep working for now but maybe I’ll retire a little earlier than I had planned,” she said.

“It will make life a lot easier! “We will be able to help our children get ahead in a really big way.”

The life-changing entry was purchased at Nextra Sunbury, 14 Brook Street, Sunbury.

Nextra Sunbury employee Liz McEwan said she was thrilled to know the prize had gone to a local.

“We’re very excited for our latest division one winner,” she said.

“It’s fantastic news for our community and we’re so happy to know it’s gone to one of our regulars.

“Congratulations to them! We have no doubt they’ll enjoy their prize.”
