When a Werribee woman discovered she won $1.45 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw, she screamed so loudly she woke up her husband, who came running down the stairs worried something was wrong.

“We had been out for dinner and when we came home, I remembered  I had bought a ticket into the draw,” she explained when speaking with us.

“My husband had gone to bed and I was just sitting on the couch  so I checked my numbers on The Lott app.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw I’d won division one!

“I screamed so loudly that my husband woke up and he came running down the stairs. He was so worried something was wrong, but I told him it was good news.

“Honestly, seeing that money come up on the screen was just amazing!

“We have always been fortunate, so this is just the icing on the cake.

“It’s really created such an awesome buzz, and I just can’t get over it.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her million-dollar win, the happy woman thought of her family first.

“The main thing we will do is share it with our family,” she admitted.

“The rest we will use to enjoy our retirement and to enjoy life!”

Her winning 24-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Werribee Authorised Newsagency, 16 Station Street, Werribee.

Werribee Authorised Newsagency store manager Hayley Murphy said the entire team was ecstatic for their winner.

“We were so excited to hear that one of our customers had become a millionaire and we helped make their dreams come true,” she shared.

“We are going to party in style with balloons and streamers to celebrate this wonderful win.

“We are so happy for our winner and her family, especially in these current conditions.

“I think our customers will be very excited for us when they hear the news.

Greensborough man discovers $1.45 million TattsLotto win while in bed!

A Greensborough man admitted he was struggling to go to sleep on Saturday night, so he checked his TattsLotto ticket only to discover he had become an overnight millionaire.

“It was so bizarre!” he laughed when we confirmed the win.

“I actually had a  quiet night on Saturday. I went to bed pretty early and as I was laying in bed, I thought I would check my TattsLotto results.

“I had two tickets and I checked my first one and I had won about $8, which I thought was alright.

“But when I was looking at that ticket, I recognised some of those numbers and thought I definitely had some of the winning numbers on my second ticket.

“At first, I thought I had won about $1,000 and I was stoked, but then I looked harder and I saw I had all six numbers.

“I couldn’t believe it! I logged back in and out so many times to check.

“It feels surreal! I still can’t believe it!

“I had to go to work today because I just need some normalcy again while this news sunk in.

“I generally have a very stressful job, but today, I feel very relaxed.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the jubilant winner admitted he was going to be sensible with his prize but did have a few ideas already.

“I want to be smart with my prize, so I am going to go and see a financial advisor,” he shared.

“I suspect I won’t retire soon, but I would like to go part time and then in the next few months, or perhaps next year, I might retire.

“There are some things I’d like to do to my house as well, and I want to help my siblings and my family.

“Honestly, what this means for me is a good lifestyle during my retirement! I didn’t have much to use for my retirement, so this makes everything so much better for me.

“This has changed my life and the lives of so many others too! The good times just keep rolling.”

His winning marked System 9 entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
