Urangan couple set to share the love following their $1.3 million Saturday Gold Lotto win
A Urangan couple admits they were bowled over by the shock of scanning their Saturday Gold Lotto entry and discovering their $1.3 million windfall.
The Fraser Coast winners held one of four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4273, drawn Saturday 23 July 2022. Each winning entry scored a division one prize of $1,362,315.17.
Confirming their win with us, the cheery couple explained how they came to discover they’d become overnight millionaires.
“Wow, wow, wow! You can’t be serious,” the winning wife said.
“We’re just in complete shock at the moment. I feel like I might fall over at any moment.
“You never expect that you’ll be a division one winner when you enter a lottery draw.
“We’re struggling to make sense of it!
The happy husband shared his wife refused to believe him when he scanned their winning entry and tried to tell his wife the good news.
“She just kept telling me no!” he laughed.
“I don’t think either of us believed it could be real.
“It’s so fresh we have no idea what to do with the win. We might buy our son a new car!
“It’s going to change our lives in such an incredible way, so thank you so much!”
The elated winners purchased their entry at Nextra Sandy Straits, Shop 15 Urangan Central, Corner Boat Harbour Drive and Elizabeth Street, Urangan.
Nextra Sandy Straits owner Michelle Jordan said it was an incredible feeling to know their outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
