Wakeley man in a state of shock after $549,000 Saturday Lotto discovery!
A Wakeley man admitted that when he checked his Saturday Lotto ticket and saw he’d won more than $500,000, he went into a state of shock, unable to do or say anything.
The New South Wales player held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4105, drawn Saturday 21 November 2020. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $549,405.38.
Speaking with us this morning, the overwhelmed winner admitted he was still struggling to comprehend the news.
“I found out straight after the draw,” he said.
“I was just watching some TV with my family and I decided to check the ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw I’d won division one!
“I was shocked. I could barely say a word!
“I made my family check the ticket for me. They were gobsmacked too!
“Honestly, we went into a state of shock.
“We all just sat there, not really saying anything, just staring at the screen.
“It still doesn’t feel real! I am not sure when it’s going to sink in.”
When asked how he intended to enjoy his half-a-million-dollar prize, the overjoyed dad said he needed more time to let the news sink in before he made any concrete plans.
“It’s so hard to make any plans because I feel like I am going to wake up and this all be a dream,” he laughed.
“We will most likely pay off the mortgage.
“I’ve also been wanting to go to America. So when we can finally travel overseas again, I’d like to do that.”
