Picture perfect numbers: Waterways woman scores $1.5 million TattsLotto win with unusual entry type
A Waterways woman has her unique way of choosing her numbers to thank for her $1.5 million TattsLotto division one win in the weekend’s draw.
The overjoyed winner held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4065, drawn Saturday 4 July 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $1,536,277.70.
Sharing her joy with us this morning, the winner revealed the ‘fun’ way she chose the numbers on her marked entry.
“Oh my god! I’m shaking! Thank you so much! This is insane! My goodness!” she exclaimed.
“I have no idea what to say. I’m crying. I had no idea I had won. I hadn’t checked my ticket.
“I play every week. I usually buy two separate entries. One entry I use numbers of family birthdays and things like that, but on the second entry, I use random numbers.
“I choose the numbers by drawing a picture or a pattern on the coupon.
“My husband and I started doing it a little while ago as a bit of fun and the system just stuck!
“He’s just said he is so excited he is going to throw up!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy the life-changing windfall, the thrilled winner immediately declared she already knew what was at the top of her shopping list.
“We are definitely going to buy a house!” she announced.
“We’ve only ever been able to rent so being able to buy a house outright will be amazing.
“We are also going to go on an amazing holiday too. My husband and I always wanted to go to Mexico on our honeymoon, but it just wasn’t possible.
“So a trip to Mexico is definitely on the cards when we can travel again.
“I was just getting ready to head out the door to run errands and go shopping when you called.
“But I think I’ll stay at home and go dream-house shopping on the internet instead!”
The stoked winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 14-game marked entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
