Lockdown is looking a lot brighter for a Kerang couple who are now busy planning how they are going to enjoy an extra $2 million after scoring division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Victorian players held one of the five division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4179, drawn Saturday 7 August 2021 – each pocketed a $2 million prize.

Speaking with us this morning, the northern Victorian pair relayed how the excitement unfolded.

“Oh god! This is absolutely fantastic news,” the winning man cheered.

“I checked my ticket on my online The Lott account at about midnight on Saturday night. Well, I certainly had a sleepless night after that!

“I couldn’t stop shaking! I was in complete disbelief. It’s crazy!

“My wife was fast asleep so I went and woke her up and she couldn’t believe it either.

“There were quite a few tears between the both of us once it started to sink in.

“We went to bed after that because it was late, but we stayed up chatting about what we will do with the money.

“We shared the news with our family the next day and they were over the moon for us. We can’t wait until we can actually celebrate with them in person.

“It’s just amazing! We’ve been dreaming of this moment for decades and now it’s here.

“I’m feeling very lucky at the moment, so maybe you’ll be calling us about another division one win this week.”

When asked how they planned to enjoy their windfall, the delighted duo thought of their family first.

“Well, we will definitely help the kids out,” the jubilant man continued.

“We’d like to use the rest to just enjoy our time in retirement.

“It will be great not having to worry about money! This will be the best time of our lives.”

Their winning marked 15-game entry was purchased at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
