A Seaford couple have been revealed as the area’s newest millionaires after taking home a $1,428,571.43 division one prize in Saturday X Lotto draw 3841, drawn Saturday 12 May.
 
Their winning entry was one of 14 division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw and the only entry from South Australia to take home a division one prize.
 
As the couple’s entry was not registered to an Easiplay Club card, SA Lotteries had no way of contacting them and instead had been waiting for them to check their ticket.
 
When speaking with an SA Lotteries official this morning to confirm their win, the couple revealed they had known about the life-changing news for several days.
 
“I’d gone out for the Sunday paper and when I was there I grabbed the results slip for the Saturday night’s draw,” the happy husband explained.
 
“Then I went home and checked my numbers there. When I saw that I had won I had to ask my wife to double check the numbers!

“I’ve been playing since 1970 and it’s definitely been worth the wait!”

 When asked how they planned to spend their Saturday X Lotto windfall they immediately disclosed their plans.
 
“I’ll help out my son and my grandchildren and pay the house off!” he declared.
 
“A new car! Our car is 15 years old!” the wife added.
 
When asked how they planned to celebrate the win, the winning wife said she still had to get over the shock.
 
“We’ll have to think about how we will celebrate. Let’s get home first and get over the shock of the win,” she said.
 
The over-the-moon couple who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry 18-game Quickpick entry at Port Noarlunga South Foodland, 228 Seaford Road, Seaford.
 
Port Noarlunga South Foodland manager Clint Stephens said the outlet was excited to celebrate their latest win and unite the winner with their prize.
 
“It’s really good to have sold the winning entry,” he explained.
 
“Not only have we made someone’s day, but we have changed their life.
 
“So, hopefully this is the start of a winning streak.
 
“We are definitely ready to celebrate!”
 
The six winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 3841 on Saturday 12 May 2018 were 12, 17, 38, 31, 6 and 14.  The supplementary numbers were 34 and 32.
 
Across Australia there were 14 division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 3841 – seven from Victoria, three from New South Wales, and one each from Queensland, South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
 
Of the 14 division one winning entries, four were held by syndicates.
 
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 372 so far this financial year, including 32 won by SA Lotteries customers.
