A young Brisbane couple are looking forward to splurging on new pairs of RM Williams boots after scoring a division one prize worth over $2 million in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.

The inner-city duo held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3991, drawn Saturday 19 October 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $2,034,983.87.

Sharing her joy with a Golden Casket offical this morning, the wife revealed she was still in shock.

“This is insane! It still feels totally surreal!” she exclaimed.

“We hadn’t bought a lotto entry for ages but my husband had a tough week at work so I told him we’d buy a lotto entry in the hopes it would turn our luck around.

“It definintely did! I only bought it on Saturday so when I checked it on Sunday morning I couldn’t believe it!

“I thought someone had hacked my phone and was pranking me when I checked the app!”

When asked if her husband planned on quitting his tough job, the happy winner laughed and admitted he was already on his way to the office.

“Hahaha no, he won’t be quitting just yet but it does take the pressure off us!” she confessed.

“We have a young family so there won’t be any drastic life changes for us. We have a home loan to pay off so we’ll do that first.

“That will be pretty much it for now and then we’ll figure the rest out later.

“My husband did say he wants to go and buy new pairs of RM Williams boots though!”

The happy winners, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their 24-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s offical lotteries.
