Young Seven Hills man “buzzing” from Monday morning Set for Life shock!
A Seven Hills man in his 30s is deciding whether he will still go to work today – or ever again – after winning the First Prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years in last night’s Set for Life draw.
The family man in his 30s was oblivious to his good fortune until we broke the exciting news to him this morning.
He was fast asleep and initially refused to take the call. However, once the true extent of his win of ‘$20K on Replay’ was revealed, the man admitted he was wide awake and his mind was racing.
“Wow! Wow!” he exclaimed.
“I’m still buzzing out!
“I was a little sceptical at first. I only believe stuff when I see it myself. Once it’s in the bank, then we’ll really believe it.
“I’ve had some wins before but not on this scale! It’s worth being woken up for!
“It’s a bit of shock on a Monday morning, but it’s a good shock!”
The happy dad said he had been playing Set for Life for the past year.
“My wife and I spoke about it about 12 months ago. We thought ‘we’ve got to be in it to win it’, just to try our luck. We thought Set for Life was the one we wanted to win,” he explained.
With the win coming exactly a month until Christmas, the winner said he had already begun contemplating how he would use his ‘20K on Replay’ windfall.
“It’s the mortgage paid! That’s for sure!” he laughed.
“It’s perfect timing! Wow, this is just awesome.”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 2-SET QuickPick online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
