It’s been another busy week here at the Lott and our Aussie winners have shared some truly fun and heartwarming winning moments. With winter just around the corner, these feel good stories will warm you right up!

Logan dad’s incredible $17 million Powerball win
A Logan man was in complete disbelief when we called to tell him he’d won $17 million in Thursday night’s Powerball draw.

“Wow! You’re not pranking me, are you? I have a lot of friends that prank me!” he said.

Turns out the man is a bit of an Aussie larrikin himself. As the life-changing news started to sink in, he was already planning a cheeky surprise to tell his loved ones they were now $17 million richer!

“I am not going to tell my family. I am just going to rock up to the house with some fancy purchase, maybe a new car, and see if they can guess we are now multi-millionaires!”

We can only imagine the sort of excited reaction that would get!

Super $6.7 million win for a Gold Coast man
When you’ve been working hard, there’s nothing quite like taking a bit of time out when your lunch break rolls around. For one Gold Coast man, his lunch break may never end after he picked up the phone to the news he had won a $6.7 million Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize!

“God, I am on a lunch break right now at work. I am very seriously considering walking out of the door right now and never coming back again,” he laughed.

The thrilled man told us he had dreams to start his own business and become his own boss and was looking forward to making that a reality thanks to his win!

A winning Wednesday!
Wednesday night became instantly unforgettable for five Aussies and their families after they took out division one in Wednesday Lotto this week.

Three wins landed in Queensland, continuing the winning streak for the Sunshine State, and Victoria and New South Wales each landed one each.

A Cairns nurse, a Chermside tradie and an overjoyed Trafalgar woman were among those who are taking home an $800,000 prize and we couldn’t be more thrilled for them.

Wingfield Factory workers begin the week with the ultimate work meeting
A group of 11 factory workers from Wingfield started the week on a high after their long-running syndicate scored them a division one prize worth over $1.2 million in the weekend’s X Lotto draw.

When we confirmed the win with the syndicate leader early Monday morning, she told us she was going to call a meeting to tell her colleagues the good news.

When asked how they might enjoy their prize, she speculated there would be a few holidays on the horizon.

“We’ll just have to make sure we don’t all go at once,” she joked.

We have no doubt there were some winning dreams being made at the factory all week!

Zero Childhood Cancer Program shares a special thank you
A month ago, we were honoured to make a $600,000 donation to The Zero Childhood Cancer Program, a world-leading program which is revolutionising the way the most aggressive child cancers are being treated.

We caught up with Associate Professor David Ziegler, Senior Staff Specialist in neuro-oncology at the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick, who explained exactly how the program is bringing new hope to Aussie kids fighting cancer.

“It’s allowing us to do things that even just a few years ago we never dreamt were possible,” he explained.

The $600,000 donation, partly funded by Golden Casket unclaimed prize money, wouldn’t be possible without our players and Professor David Zeigler had a special thank you message.

“Thank you very much. It really is making a difference, you’re changing lives, you’re changing the outcome for our patients, and we can’t thank you enough."

As always, we’re excited to see what wonderful stories we’ll hear next week.

And don’t forget, if you‘ve had a winning moment of your own, you can share your story using #winningfeeling.
