A Lott of helping hands: How our team members make a difference
Supporting local communities across Australia is part of what we do here at the Lott. While we are passionate about making a difference to our partners through sponsorships and donations, we also love to dive in ourselves and lend a helping hand.
In the past 12 months, hundreds of team members from the Lott across four states have volunteered with different community organisations.
From taking time to donate blood with the Red Cross, to volunteering in bushfire affected disaster areas, our team members relish the opportunity to get involved and give back.
Team members are even given a day each year in which they can leave their daily workloads behind and volunteer at a non-for-profit organisation. As a result, team members have helped entertain sick kids at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and helped fight food insecurity for vulnerable Australians by cooking meals with Oz Harvest.
On top of the volunteering efforts of our team members, we also contributed over $1.4 billion through state lottery taxes, partnerships and donations to support our community.
We are proud to have long-standing partnerships with charities such as Starlight Children’s Foundation, Mater Foundation, Children Cancer Institute, Daniel Morcombe Foundation, Childhood Cancer Association as well as Children’s Hospital Foundations across the country.
We’re incredibly passionate about supporting our communities. That’s why we are proud to partner with leading not-for-profit organisations and support their initiatives as best we can.
