How many favourite numbers do you have? And would you like to play more of your favourite numbers in one single game for more chances to win?

A System entry is a special type of lottery entry that can be played in Monday and Wednesday Lotto, Saturday Lotto, Powerball, and Oz Lotto. They not only allow you to pick more numbers compared to a standard game, but they also give you more chances to win multiple prize divisions.

Intrigued? Here’s what you need to know if you want to get your system entry ready to go!

How do System entries work?

System entries are the equivalent to playing lots of standard games. Think of it as a supercharged entry as you can play more numbers in a single game. While lotteries are random games of chance and each number has an equal chance of being drawn, playing more numbers in a single game gives you more chances to win division one, plus more chances to score prizes across multiple divisions.

Let’s use Oz Lotto as an example.

In a single, standard Oz Lotto game, you select seven numbers. Your numbers need to match the seven winning numbers drawn from the barrel to win division one. But with a System 9 Oz Lotto entry, you can select nine numbers in a single game.

That single game of nine numbers is the equivalent of 36 standard games. This is because there are 36 different combinations of seven numbers that can be derived from your numbers. That’s 36 chances to win a prize!

More detail how many equivalent standard games each System entry gives you is available here.

What are the different types of System entries?

The type of System entry you choose depends on how many numbers you want to play.

For example, a System 8 entry means you select eight numbers in a single game, a System 9 entry allows you to choose nine numbers, and so on.

You can choose to play from seven to twenty numbers on a System entry in Monday and Wednesday Lotto, and Saturday Lotto. For Powerball and Oz Lotto, you can play eight to twenty numbers in one game.

How do you play a System entry?

There are plenty of ways you can play a System entry.

Head into your local lottery outlet and ask for a System QuickPick or use a coupon to mark your numbers.  Or jump onto the Lott app or website to make sure you don’t miss out.
