Melbourne couple's “horrible year” in lockdown turned right around by $60 million Powerball prize

Flowers, coffee and chocolate is how a South Melbourne couple plan to celebrate winning an incredible $60 million in last night’s Powerball draw, explaining they feel as though they’re in a dream.

The couple came forward to claim their prize today, after discovering their win shortly after the draw.

“I am feeling amazing, we both are. It has been a very tough year for us – really horrible. But this changes everything!" the winning husband said.

“It’s a dream come true! We’ve been fantasising about this moment and now it’s here and we’re multi-millionaires.

“This changes everything for us. We feel very, very grateful."

The win is Victoria’s second-biggest ever lottery prize!

Saturday Lotto’s Superdraw serves up six super wins!

Six division one winning entries scored a staggering $3.3 million each in the final Saturday Lotto Superdraw for 2021.

One of these entries was held by a syndicate from Morwell, Victoria, with 10 members who’ll share their division one prize.

Another winning entry belonged to a generous Springvale South couple who are planning to share the love with their windfall and, “help as many people as possible.”

“It’s changed everything for us. We will buy ourselves a small house first and then we would like to go on a holiday so we can see some of our family. Plus there are few charities we’d like to donate to,” the winning husband explained.

Set for Life win the perfect antidote for Narrabri mum’s bad day!

We imagine there’s nothing quite like a lottery win to turn your day around. That was certainly the case for a Narrabri woman who took out an incredible Set for Life prize of $20,000 a month, for 20 years.

“I had a really bad day on Friday. I was feeling miserable actually,” she said

“I was quite tired when I got home, so I sat on the couch and decided I’d quickly check my Set for Life tickets on The Lott app.

“As soon as I clicked on my ticket, I saw confetti fall from the screen and then I noticed the division one win. I screamed so loud and then burst into tears.”

The overjoyed woman plans to share her prize with her family, buy a new car and a new house.

Lottery legacy lives on for Kings Langley grandmother

Pulling on our heartstrings, one Kings Langley grandmother who discovered she was a newly-minted Monday & Wednesday Lotto millionaire shared how her win held sentimental value.

“Since my husband passed away, I’ve been playing his numbers ever since. He’d always purchase an entry into Monday & Wednesday Lotto. I thought I’d keep the numbers going,”

“It would be 25 years next month since he passed. He must be looking down on me this morning. My son and I checked the numbers last night after dinner. We couldn’t believe it.”
