It is no secret that the lack of rain is putting a significant strain on our Aussie farmers.

The Lott, through Golden Casket, has donated $500,000 to drought relief efforts in hope of alleviating some of the everyday stress our farmers are unfortunately experiencing.

The donation, funded from unclaimed prize money, was made by on Saturday, 1 September 2018 by Tabcorp Lotteries & Keno Managing Director Sue van der Merwe during Channel 7’s live Drought Appeal.

It matches a previous separate donation of $500,000 by the Lott’s parent company, Tabcorp, to help drought-affected farmers across Queensland and New South Wales.

The Lott is passionate about supporting the communities in which it operates and everyday Australians.

The donation to the Queensland Government’s Queensland Drought Appeal recognises the impact the ongoing drought is having on rural communities.
