In case you missed it: Lucky Lotteries winners like the cat that got the cream!
The Lucky Lotteries jackpots continue to climb and with the first week of May nearly done and dusted, more happy players have got their paws on a puurfect prize.
Check it out in this week’s winning highlights!
Overseas odyssey on the cards
After playing Lucky Lotteries for forty-two years, a Ballina woman is celebrating reeling in a $100,000 1st Prize in a Super Jackpot draw.
“Well, it’s about time something like this happened! I’m so excited, I can’t believe I’ve won! A trip overseas is in order I think, and I might treat myself a little bit before I go,” she laughed.
Lucky Lotteries winner almost misses out on his $100,000!
A Mordialloc man was another of the many Lucky Lotteries winners this week. However, he almost missed out on his $100,000 winning news after continually declining our phone calls.
“I was in a work meeting, and my phone kept ringing, but I couldn’t answer it. At first, I assumed you were a nuisance caller, and I was going to block your number,” he explained.
“But I looked up your phone number online, and it said you were from The Lott. Then I logged in and saw the win. I wasn’t entirely convinced at first. It was very overwhelming!”
Hide and seek - missing treasure tucked away!
More than nine months after the draw, a Ryde man discovered his $756,000 Saturday Lotto winning ticket tucked away in a filing cabinet.
“I couldn’t believe it. I placed it with some paperwork nine months ago and completely forgot about it! I went to look through the filing cabinet last week to see what I’d chucked in there,” he said.
“That’s when I noticed I had about 20 old lottery tickets lying around. I scanned the Saturday Lotto tickets on The Lott app, and one of them lit up like a Christmas tree. It’s crazy!”
Million-dollar win music to winner’s ears
A brand-new guitar is on top of the wish-list for a Berwick man who was crowned an overnight millionaire in Monday & Wednesday Lotto.
The Melburnian takes home a melodic windfall of $1,000,000.
“When my wife came home, I took her to the bedroom where I had hidden the ticket and whispered, ‘I’ve won $1 million!”. I started tearing up,” he shared.
“The first thing I want to do is buy a new, top-of-the-range guitar. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.”
Have a winning week!
