Terrific trio each take home $1.7 million in Saturday Lotto!

‘Good things come in threes’ was certainly the theme last weekend when three winners each bagged a sweet division one prize of $1.7 million in Saturday Lotto.

One of these entries was held by a Murarrie man who attributed his multi-million-dollar win to an itchy palm!

“I was sitting on the couch on Saturday afternoon and suddenly had a very itchy palm. I remember someone once told me an itchy palm was a sign of good luck, so I thought, ‘Maybe tonight is my night’. So, I bought myself a ticket,” he laughed.

“But I didn’t figure out I’d won big until I went into the newsagent, and they told me I needed to speak with The Lott head office! You really couldn’t script it any better if you tried.”

Retirement plans boosted for Townsville man

Just when he thought entering retirement couldn’t get any better, a Townsville man has received a welcome boost with a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot win.

“You’re kidding! Really? $100,000?! Woohoo! Can you hang on for one moment, I just want to call my wife right away and tell her. This is fantastic mate,” he yelled.

“We’re getting on a bit now and want to retire, so this will definitely give us a helping hand. We’ll share some of it with our children and grandchildren – this is the best start to Easter!”

Budgewoi woman welcomes second major lottery win

A Budgewoi woman is ready to see her bank account blossom for the second time in three decades after reeling in a mouth-watering $100,000 windfall in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.

“This is incredible! My husband and I won the 1st Prize years and years ago, but I didn’t think it would ever happen again. We play every week and to receive this phone call is just amazing,” she proclaimed.

“My whole family will celebrate with a fantastic dinner, and then I’ll tuck it away for retirement. I’ve been looking forward to that for a long time. It’s great to know we’re secure.”
