Restless weekend for Lennox Head man after million-dollar discovery

A Lennox Head man started his week running on caffeine and adrenaline after checking his Weekday Windfall ticket over the weekend. He said he’d barely slept a wink since discovering his $1 million prize.

“This is so fricken good!” he cheered.

“I’ve barely had any sleep the last couple of nights waiting to get your phone call.

“It feels like I’ve had about 19 coffees this morning just to keep myself awake.

“You really can’t fathom a major lottery win until it happens to you.

“I’m full of gratitude that a win like this has landed my way, and I can live life to the fullest.”

Hunter Valley locals cheers to a winning weekend

The Hunter Valley region gave two locals more than 730,000 reasons to smile this week, after a winning weekend in Saturday Lotto. A Singleton grandfather, thrilled by his division one win, joked that he felt like he may ‘have a heart attack’ when we delivered the good news. 

“My goodness. I’m an old fella; I might just have a heart attack,” he gasped.

“It’s unbelievable. It’s come at a perfect time.

“I’ll be able to share with the whole family and, most importantly, spoil the grandkids.”

And a Tanilba Bay man, who usually plays Set for Life, decided to switch it up on a whim and give Saturday Lotto a chance. It’s fair to say he’s happy with his last-minute decision, which led him to a win worth more than $730,000.

“Wow! Holy crap! Well, this is cool,” he laughed.

“I feel absolutely amazing. What a beautiful day. The sky is so clear, and this just makes it even better.

“I play Set for Life normally, but I decided to put my recent winnings on a Saturday Lotto ticket, and I’m so happy I did.

“I can’t believe it. I’ll be able to buy a house.”

Grass-cutting days are over for Mossman dad

And after missing multiple calls from us, a Mossman dad’s day was completely flipped on its head when he discovered he’d landed a $736,000 Saturday Gold Lotto win.

“At first, I thought it was a joke. I saw a few missed calls and texts but assumed someone was trying to trick me!” he exclaimed.

“I’ll keep the news on the downlow and just tell my children.

“I’m a pretty level-headed guy, so I won’t be going crazy. I’m looking to retire from landscaping, and this will be a great boost.”
